Basic Tips That can Keep the Dentist Away

The very basic practice for the care of the teeth is the regular brushing of the teeth at least two times in a day. You must use floss at least once in a day. Clean the teeth after every meal. Give a proper gap between two meals and try not to take in snacks during that time. This allows proper salivation of the mouth. Also the fizz drinks and the sodas must be avoided. Besides being harmful to the general health, they are also harmful to the enamel.  Smoking harms the teeth and the gums in the worst manner possible, thus it is advised to quit smoking earliest possible.

You must go a dentist regularly and consult him regarding the tooth brush and the tooth paste. The tooth paste that you use must have fluoride as one of the ingredients. The tooth brush used must fit your mouth. The tooth brush must be replaced in about 2-3 months.

You must not press the brush harshly against the teeth while brushing as this may cause harm to the gums. The brush must be moved in small circles to clean the teeth properly and all the teeth, the ones that lie in the front as well as the ones that lie at the back, must be properly cleaned. You must never use the lemon juice to clean up the teeth as this cause sever damage to the teeth by dissolving the enamel’s calcium. A diet should be taken that is rich in minerals like calcium and phosphorous and also contains proteins in ample amounts. The teeth are surely important for all and thus taking care of them is also important.
