Brush Properly To Take Care of the Teeth
If your teeth are sensitive to heat, pressure or cold then you may need special toothpaste for the sensitive teeth of yours. It is
very necessary to consult a dentist before taking such a decision regarding the type of toothpaste, because it can create a great problem for the teeth otherwise. The teeth surely make you and your smile look better, so dental care is surely a practice that must be followed by one and all.
The most important act regarding the care of the teeth is the proper brushing of the teeth and the gums. All of us know that we must brush our teeth twice in a day- in the morning just after leaving the bed and in the night just before going to the bed. But still many of us do not know how to brush the teeth properly. Here are some useful tips that can help you brush the teeth properly and thus maintain the health of the teeth.
You must take at least 2 minutes to completely brush up your teeth.
Hold the brush at an angle of 45 degrees to the gum line and start with short strokes from the region where teeth and gums meet. Brushing the teeth harshly can result in loosening of the teeth, tooth sensitivity and receding gums.
The same method must be used to brush up all the teeth surfaces.
Clean the chewing surfaces of the teeth properly with short sweeping strokes with the bristles tipping in the pits and crevices on the surface.
For cleaning the inside surfaces of the bottom and top front teeth and gums, hold the brush in a vertical position and with back and forth movements, bring the front part of the brush over the teeth and the gums.
The tongue and the roof of the mouth must also be properly cleaned with the help of the forward sweeping motion of the brush in order to remove the bacteria that exist at these places and may cause the decay to the teeth and the gums.
Play a song while brushing your teeth and take ample amount to clean up the teeth and the gums. There are certain electronic toothbrushes also available that let you know when the 2 minutes of brushing come to an end.
After brushing you must floss to get rid of any remains that might just be sticking to any corner of the mouth.
