People when do jogging they run at same speeds all time, faster or slow. This is known as steady state exercise. However, it doesn’t helps a bit. If you want to lose weight, you need to vary your speed during jogging. Like if, you are going to jog for 10 minutes then maintain same speed for 1 minute and then change your speed after each 1 minute. It known as “After burn”. For heavy weight persons it becomes very difficult to vary their speeds. This makes them tired quickly. They can jog in time intervals.

Our bodies are habitual to normal walking. Therefore, this does not help in weight loss. If we walk on inclined road or treadmill, then jogging can work. Best option for this is try to jog on treadmill having nearly 15 – 20 inclination angles. This will help you a lot in weight loss.

With this weight loss and other advantages of jogging there are various disadvantages.

1. During jogging, a person can heart himself as jogging put more stress over body. Some injuries like joint injuries, muscle camp, knee, and ankle injuries mostly happen during jogging.

2. Jogging can also cause pain and make you feel restless all day. Jogging makes, you lose all your energy. Therefore, you can feel less energetic and feel starving all day along.

Therefore, with weight loss advantages there exits some disadvantages of jogging. There are other methods are also available for weight loss.     Thanks for sharing this nice blog. From my experience, keeping a stable and lower level of blood sugar is key to successful fat burning. This can be done by eating low carb foods and low gi foods. Coupled with aerobic exercises, our fat burning capacity can be greatly enhanced.
