<p> <strong>Focus on two important fitness principles.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Focus on doing rather than looking.</strong>  Women typically set their fitness goals according to ideal weight charts and dream dress sizes, sabotaging their motivation even before they begin working out.  Exercise physiologists insist women should let go of their pre-occupation with how their bodies look, focusing instead on what their bodies can do.  For example, the experts recommend women declare, “By the end of the month, I want to be able to walk three miles in under one-half hour,” instead of stressing over declarations like “I want to be size 6 by the wedding.”  The actual outcomes may be the same, but the focus changes the psychology of exercise, taking the vanity and narcissism out of it, redirecting the motivation to “self-efficacy”—confidence about strength and competency.  Both physiologists and psychologists say that one change fundamentally changes everything about women’s workouts.</p>
<p><strong> Commit to being fit.</strong>  The principle bears repeating: Women must make a serious commitment to everyday fitness.  Three serious health problems commonly afflict American women, and custom-made workouts contribute to preventing all three: First, consistent with larger trends in the population, approximately two-thirds of American women qualify as “obese”—their body mass indexes exceed 26.  You can find your body mass index using any of hundreds of online charts.  Second, women are as susceptible to heart disease and high blood pressure as men, but they typically are not as sensitive to the problems as men.  Third, despite far greater public awareness of the risks associated with osteoporosis, few women exercise and nourish their bodies with respect for both health.</p>
<p><strong>Three fundamentals of a woman’s workout.</strong></p>
<p>The most popular fitness programs for women generally are built around three fundamental requirements of a productive workout, but very few clearly articulate the principles in any way that empowers women to build their own conditioning programs.  The defect is easily corrected.  Every daily workout should include:<strong> (1)at least twenty minutes of rhythmic, repetitive endurance  training—walking, jogging, cycling, or swimming. <p>Of course, post-modern professional women feel unprecedented demands on their time and energy, so that it seems easy to forego daily workouts in the interest of getting things done for work and the family.  Physicians and psychologists stress, however, that women are actually more productive and efficient when they carve-out time for regular exercise.  Most working women find that endurance training before work helps them wake-up and focus; and they similarly find that strength training and stretching after work help them make the transition from office to home, releasing their stress and redirecting their attention.</p>

Walking helps reduce weight, which is very serious problem, nowadays; so many children are obese which can cause serious health related issues in their future.</p>
<p>It is a proven fact that walking for half an hour a day can reduce the risk of heart attack by up to 30%. Walking also helps control diabetes and there are many other advantages like when you sweat during walking it improves the health of your skin, it burns calories, assists respiratory problems and above all it helps to increase the muscle strength and endurance of the body.<span id="more-757"></span></p>
<p>In today’s fast-paced world, most people hardly get time to relax and think about their body, so walking is generally not a part of their routine, but we need to realise that without a healthy body we will not survive in this ever-demanding world. In the modern era, most people prefer to use a treadmill rather than going out for a walk. Treadmill helps save people time and they can exercise from their homes only. However, using a treadmill is never the same as walking outdoors, one can never burn the same amount of calories on a treadmill as he/she can outdoors.</p>
<p>When someone is running on a treadmill there is certain amount of work that the treadmill is also doing and there is no air resistance as there is in open spaces. Walking outdoors is more beneficial than treadmill because it challenges out body to maintain it stability when we come across steps, curbs or small obstacles, also when using a treadmill we can never go downhill, which is also very important because that targets a completely different set of muscles. Therefore, if you can find a safe place and a little time for walking, there is nothing better for your body.</p>
