How Can One Deal with Asthma?

Asthma is a chronic disease identified by sneezing, wheezing and excessive coughing.

How Can One Deal with Asthma?This should be taken seriously and immediate attention should be paid to it. This is basically triggered by some allergic components present in the air. These allergic things can be pollen or may be the skin particles or may be the hair of animals like dogs or cats or the house dust can also be allergic to certain people. Asthma attacks may also be able to also be caused by infections of the respiratory tract, or may be drugs, or may be due to excessive exercise & even due to psychological effects.

The Risks Due To Asthma

It is a common problem observed especially in school going students. If a person suffers from regular attacks of asthma it is very harmful and even lead to paralysis. People suffering from asthma may also suffer from other diseases leading to a life taking situation in certain adverse conditions.

How to Deal With Asthma?

If a person is suffering from asthma then a person must take preventive steps as prevention is always better than cure. One must consult a physician in case of an emergency and excessive breathlessness.

Treatment for Asthma

a) Help yourself: as one knows that asthma is basically caused by allergy. Allergy can be because of pollen or dust or the hairs of animals like dogs or cats. So firstly one must identify the allergen. Then one must contact the physician and go for the tests so as to confirm the allergen and thus take preventive measures against that allergen.

If one suffers from the attacks of asthma once or twice a year then the allergen is possibly the pollen grains. If one suffers from these attacks frequently but only on certain specific days then the allergen might be dust or flour or may be something else related to one’s workplace or hobby related place.

One might even be allergic to some eatables like chocolates or some fruits. Thus after identifying the allergen one must take all possible preventive measures so as to be careful and avoid all such attacks.

b) One may even go for Professional help: after diagnosing the problem one should go for further treatment and analysis. Various drugs have been introduced to fight the problem of asthma. These may be prophylactics & bronchodilators. The first category the Prophylactics should be taken on a regular basis to prevent attacks. The second category that is the Bronchodilators is administered by people occasionally only when the symptoms of asthma are observed.
