Fitness An Essential Of Life
In the current scenario, there is a lot of emphasis on physical well being, better known as physical fitness. Biologically, any
person having a proper functioning of the well known body organs such as heart, lungs, muscles etc. can be called as a fit person. The performance of muscles under the conditions of fatigue is also taken into account while dealing with the subject of physical well-being. However, with fast developing world, the general lifestyle is also changing at a fast rate.
Due to this reason, the proper definitions of fitness have changed. Being healthy is a vital part of life. A physically and mentally fit person can deal with life much more efficiently as compared to a weak person. There is a common notion that the people looking thin are not fit or healthy, but this is totally wrong. Any person capable of performing routine tasks efficiently and one who is able to attend to emergency situations properly can be termed as a fit person. It is not necessary that a person having more muscular mass be more fit. The best example in this context can be given of the African athletes who look so thin but are capable of running marathon distances.
Various workouts and exercises have been designed to ensure well being of an individual. These include walking which is generally brisk, running and other specialized exercises such as abdomen muscle workout, back exercises, training for thighs and legs and for several different body parts catering to diverse muscular groups such as muscles of the heart, arms, shoulders, butt etc.
One more aspect of physical fitness that has sprung up in recent times is of losing weight. Sedentary lifestyle with less amount of physical activity has affected a lot of people and as a result a lot of people have gained unnecessary flab. Such a condition is called as obesity and is pretty dangerous according to the opinion of leading medical experts around the world. This condition of obesity poses a high risk to the human body as a whole and to the heart in particular. Such people run a high risk of heart attacks, heart failures and other potentially more dangerous diseases. According to the expert advice of leading physical therapists around the globe, one of the best ways o lose flab is to allow maximum movement for an individual’s body. The weight loss process is slow, but the results generally provide a great deal of satisfaction to an individual.
