How Do You Know If the Girl of Your Dreams is a Gold Digger?

Almost all little girls have dreams of being princesses who are showered with gifts and pampered. The problem seems to be that some of these little girls never grow out of this. For this reason there are many women out there who are looking for one thing in particular, a man with money. There are many terms used to describe women who are all about the Benjamins but the most popular seems to be “Gold digger”. Of course, there are different classes of gold diggers and not all of them are strictly in it for money. Some gold diggers want even more, they want a man who has all of the above, money, looks and a heart they can connect with. Unfortunately, when money is the main motivation, the ends are almost always the same, especially for the poor buffoon who falls hook, line and sinker for a diva who is about to play him.

 Was Her Last Guy Wealthy?

 While there are some gold diggers who are absolute pros at playing the game, most of the time there will be very clear cut indications when someone is interested in you for your money. One of the best methods of discovering a woman’s motive is to take a look at her history. Chances are at some point the topic of her last relationship will come up. Does she come complete with tales about how she was whisked away to Monte Carlo on a private jet by her last boyfriend? How does she describe her last relationship? Does the focus always seem to be on what he gave her and the things he did for her, or does she focus on the kind of person he was and what she felt about him?

 By now you are probably lost and wondering why on earth you would snoop around in a girl’s closet. Pay attention. There are a lot of people who live beyond their means and this does not always raise a red flag. However, if the girl you are into works part time at a retail store and has a closet full of designer clothing, handbags and shoes, you better believe she didn’t acquire those things on her modest salary. So, unless this girl has a super rich daddy who has foot the bill for her, she probably got these things out of some other poor sap before kicking him to the curb. While this is not always the case, and there are really some girls who just happened to have been in love with a guy who had money, it is definitely something to look into.

 What Does She Like to Do?

 One of the most obvious signs that a girl is a gold digger is that she is never happy unless you are taking her somewhere expensive. Sure, all women love to go out for a night of fine dining once in awhile but most of the time they are also perfectly content with staying home, ordering pizza and watching movies from time to time. If your new girl seems to be happy only when you are spending money on her, you may just have a gold digger on your hands. Feel free to test the theory if you dare and try taking her through a drive-thru for burgers one night. If she suddenly becomes distant and puts on a pouty face, you might need to step back and take a good look at her.

 She Seems Much Too Interested In Your Income

 It’s fine to make small talk and ask a few questions here and there about a person’s profession, but when a girl is way too interested in the amount of money you bring home, she may be scouting you. This is especially true if you happen to notice little dollar signs pop into her eyes while you are talking to her. Of course it isn’t quite that simple is it? The bottom line here is that a woman should never seem too preoccupied with what you can offer her in terms of money and material things. If she is into you because of who you are, the topic of your wallet may never get brought up at all. Notice the way she looks at you and whether or not she seems genuinely interested in you as a person. If she is just after your money, she probably won’t pay much attention to anything else.

Unfortunately, if all of the above sounds all too familiar, you may want to consider breaking those ties quickly, that is unless you don’t mind being with a girl who is only using you for your money. Remember, there are a lot of really beautiful girls out there, beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. You should never sell yourself short and settle for a girl who doesn’t care a thing about you. No matter how much physical beauty she may possess, you must remember that this kind of beauty fades. It’s the beauty a person possesses internally that lasts forever. Sadly, some people never realize this until it is too late.
