Hair Loss Should Be Taken Seriously!!
Hair loss is a problem faced by all age groups of people today be it the youth or the middle aged or may be the older people. The
problem of hair fall is increasing day by day and everybody is looking for a cure to this problem. But as a matter of fact there is not just a particular reason behind this problem. There may be multiple reasons and if one is able to know the precise reason behind this problem then its treatment would be much easier. Hair loss may be due to fungal infections or may be it is in the genes of the individual that is to say that it is a genetic problem.
One may think that one is suffering from hair loss and not any other problem but may be it is just a symptom of some other very serious problem of which the person is unaware of. Therefore a person should not take this issue very lightly and go for a proper diagnosis to get to the actual problem. No issue should be taken lightly be it as small as hair loss as health is wealth.
A diagnostic test is necessary to find out the actual reason of hair loss. The test should be conducted to determine as to whether the hair loss is just bare hair loss may be due to dandruff or some fungal infection or the hair loss is the symptom of some serious disease which requires immediate attention and treatment. Hair loss may also take place due to a disease known as hypothyroidism. Thus it should be immediately taken care of and treated. It is sometimes seen that even after treating this severe disease hair fall does not stop. But one need not worry about it. The hair fall stops after a certain point of time. What is more important is the treatment of hypothyroidism.
Certain other hair diseases can cause the hair quality to degrade to a great extent and thus cause the thinning of hair. These diseases may be:
a) Systemic lupus or SLE: This is an autoimmune disease in which the body’s immune system starts acting against self. Its symptoms include “butterfly rash” which may be seen over certain parts of the face may be the nose or the cheeks.
b) Hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism.
c) Cystic syndrome of the ovary or PCOS.
