Can Heroin Addiction Prove to Be Fatal?

Whenever we confront an individual about his drug addiction, we will most likely have to undergo a long speech by him telling Heroin Addictionus how he actually isn’t an addict. Then he goes on with his speech telling us how easily he can stop the consumption of the various drugs he is consuming according to his will and that drug addiction can be considered as just another normal addiction. Finally, in the end he will say that he isn’t a drug addict. Heroin is one of the scariest and worst drugs which are being sold in the drug market unlawfully. And because of the same every individual who is addicted to drugs points to heroin in order to give the explanation for their addiction

The most important reason behind heroin addiction is the fear in people regarding heroin is that they consider it to be very addictive. In comparison with other drugs, an individual has to only consume a small quantity of heroin in small numbers so as to completely become a heroin addict. An individual starts experiencing withdrawal symptoms within three or four days of its use.

Now we would like to know the reason behind people going after heroin. Well a large number of individuals make use of heroin because as soon as it is injected or consumed by an individual it leads to a condition known as euphoria.

As time passes this heroin starts governing the individual and decreases the level of euphoria till the consumer gets deeply relaxed. Because of heroin addiction the consumer starts coming in and going out of such a state. After some time, the heroin consumer loses his control on his mental function because heroin depresses the brain and hinders all the mental ability of the heroin consumer.

The other harmful effects caused by heroin addiction are:-

1. Constipation

2. Vomiting

3. Small pupils

4. Slurred speech

5. Impaired vision and

6. Slower movements

Heroin addiction lead to various serious problems in human being such as collapsed veins which mainly occur because of the constant injection of heroin, valve and heart infections, organ disease, pneumonia, problems in breathing and liver disease. At the instant when the heroin addict wants to discontinue the consumption of heroin, he experiences vomiting, bone pain, intense cravings, constipation, insomnia, intense restlessness and diarrhea.

Heroin addiction is more fatal and dreadful than other kinds of drug addictions which individuals tend to develop. Due to the reason that the addiction to heroin decreases the breathing and infection fighting ability in the individual, therefore it becomes difficult for him to fight against the illness.
