Everyone wants to have a healthy, fit and toned up body. However, it can become really monotonous and taxing, if one keeps on
following the same jog and exercise regime for staying fit. Besides, running around in the park or sweating it out in the gym, all on your own without any company also becomes boring sometimes. So it’s good to learn some handy new ways to help yourself get in shape. Well these ideas are not only out of the ordinary, but they can also add that little zing to a droning life. So gear up for some offbeat fitness ideas.
Skipping
If you haven’t tried skipping, get a rope now. Skipping is fun and helps you burn those calories faster. A 10-minute skipping session equals about 30 minutes of jogging which certainly saves a lot of time for working people. It not only helps exercise the muscles of the legs, but it also keeps the heart and lungs in good shape. If skipping sounds too much work and hassle, one can also try stationary running. A two minute devoted session can prove extremely helpful. However, if one feels breathless at any time, a few seconds pause is recommended. Skipping to music in a sprung studio and trying different foot combinations helps prevent boredom.
Swimming
Another wonderful way to keep fit is swimming, which can certainly help you gain that perfect ten figure. When you swim, it helps you work on all the right places and tone up those saggy muscles which otherwise can be such an exhausting process. Swimming helps you look young too as a fit and toned body always reflects confidence and healthy inner self.
Fitness Vacation
The idea of fitness vacation is pretty novel and has a world of rewards. It is an amazing opportunity to earn a healthier and stronger self while you travel and discover new places. On one side, you can enjoy and explore a territory that you have never ventured into and on the other side, you get to engage yourself in various interesting physical activities like trekking, hiking, camping and spa. Vacation like this not only helps break the monotony of an otherwise normal life, but also help you sweat it out.
Group sports
Well, the usual jogging schedule can also be made interesting. Instead of just running at the same pace, sometimes just change the tempo by sprinting for as long as you can and then slowly coming back to your normal running pace.
Group sporting activities are also very effective as they can be a good break from the monotony of a gym fitness regime. If you can find a group of like-minded friends then a weekend at the nearby park can be quite some fun. Activities like racing, cycling, tug of war, and fun soccer produce happy hormones, which can make anyone, look beautiful and shiny.
