Preventive Measures to be Taken to Prevent Asthma
Asthma is one disease wherein the bronchioles of the person’s lungs develop the tendency to be really very sensitive to
environmental triggers or factors which may lead to the swelling in lungs thus reducing the surface area for the air or oxygen in the lungs. Apart from this there is a lot of mucus production which leads a person to a situation where the person may face problem in breathing. According to a survey conducted the number of people suffering from asthma is increasing day by day and pollution is one of the major reasons for this.
Air pollution is one of the major reasons for the increased cases of asthma. Asthma attacks may also be able to also be caused by infections of the respiratory tract, or may be drugs, or may be due to excessive exercise & even due to psychological effects. The cure for asthma is not very easy and there is no direct cure for asthma. Thus prevention should be taken to prevent asthma.
Preventive Measures to Be Taken To Prevent Asthma
A) One must prevent from coming in contact with the dust particles. Dust being an allergen may become a cause for asthma. The house should be clean and tidy and regularly vacuuming should be done. Even the furniture & the household items must be wiped regularly so as to eliminate all the dust.
B) One must try to avoid the mould spores as they are one of the allergens that can cause extrinsic asthma. The rooms & other areas where there is a possibility of moisture must be avoided because the moulds often grow at such places. One may use extraction fan in the areas prone to mould growth like the bathrooms.
C) Indoor smoking should not be permitted because smoke is again an allergen and can trigger extrinsic asthma especially in children.
D) One should avoid pollen grains because the Pollen grains which one sees in the flowers & grasses may trigger asthma.
E) The smoke & aroma observed while cooking may be one of the major cause for asthma. One must use an extraction fan to avoid such a problem and prevent the infants from falling prey to asthma.
F) Your pets can be reason to cause asthma. Children should be kept away from infants as their saliva or hair or may be the skin can act as allergen and thus trigger asthma in young children. Thus hands should be properly washed after coming in contact with the pets.
