The scoop of beauty .
Soothe your skin – Got a cut, scrape or bite, and a little left over green tea? Soak a cotton pad in it . Tea is a natural antiseptic that relieves itching and swelling. Try it on inflamed breakouts and blemishes, sunburn, even puffy eyelids .
Beat bad odour – Pour one cup of boiling water over green tea and leave to infuse for atleast 30 minutes. Make a paste using this liquid and one teaspoon of baking soda, and use this to brush your teeth as usual. The natural properties in the tea will curb mouth odour. Plus can also be used as a mouthwash. Green tea is a natural breath freshener .
Get beautiful skin – Mix 3 tablespoon mayonnaise with one heaped teaspoon green tea leaves. Apply evenly to the face, avoiding the delicate eye area, and leave for 20 minutes. Rinse the mask off, then dry and moisturise. You can also:
* Rinse your face with tea. Tea acts as an astringent, so it works well on pimples. Do not wash off.
* Have a tea facial. Crush tea leaves in a heavy face cream and then make circling motions with the cream to polish your skin;it’ll appear younger and fresher.
*Cool off during the summer months. Pour one to two cups of the brewed tea into a tepid bath. Relax about 15-20 minutes, allowing the tea-infused bath water to do its magic in refreshing the skin , softening its texture.”
