Therapies to Help Women Suffering From Mental Health Disorders
After the age of about 45, there occur a lot of changes in a woman’s body with respect to the hormonal levels of the body.
Generally many females do not know what is happening in their body, and thus get disturbed by the physical, mental and biological changes their body gets subjected to. Woman is an integral part in her family who needs to deal with her own mental issues along with the ones that her children and other family members have. They carry on with all the important works of the family, and are always burdened with things to do, which gives her a lot of mental pressure, and this can disrupt her mental health.
Thus it is important to go for a therapy if you think you are suffering from any kind of mental health disorder. A mental health therapy is a way to help understand yourself better and to cope up with your stress in a much better way. The various kinds of mental issues that women might have to deal are eating and sleeping disorders, anxiety, depression, anger, drug abuse etc.
Different kinds of therapies available are:
1. Behavioral therapy is a goal oriented therapy, and is very well structured for the same. It helps in changing your behavior and making it positive. It teaches you to relax, and then tries to find out your fears and worries in that state of relaxation. It then tries to find out where is your behavior wrong and then tries to avert this behavior and make it more and more assertive. This therapy can only work well, if one tries to self assess and monitor her behavior.
2. Massage therapy helps in relaxing an individual by reducing the anxiety and stress levels. Massages help in better blood circulation in the body and thus help in reducing the stress.
3. Psychoanalytic Therapy is a kind in which you try to uncover the things of your past that affect you in your present. It is a costly therapy and needs many hours of meet with your therapist.
4. Psycho dynamic Therapy helps in bringing your true feelings to the surface, and thus to reality. If you say that you are not affected by painful thoughts and memories of your past, they still might be affecting you, and once you are aware of them, you can work upon them.
